Horse-drawn wagons were certainly the transportation of choice on Front Street in 1910; automobiles had not yet caught on in a big way. This view is south, probably at about Stark or Washington Street.

Love old photos of Portland Oregon. When I look at this photo I think about the neighborhoods I love to sell that were being built around this time. 1910 was a good year in Real Estate in Portland. That was the hay day of the Formal Craftsman style home era. (Old Portland Home)
